Would You Like To Spend Time With Me At My Let’s face it; there are times when even the best of intentions will fall short of the mark. Maybe it’s a lack of time, a lack of money or maybe a lack of interest in what you repeatedly tell yourself you must start doing to get healthy and happy again. Look, I’m certain you and I can agree that chasing after weight loss diets, long and drawn out health and fitness routines and optimum nutrition protocols can be a time consuming, confusing, frustrating and LONELY endeavor. After all, where’s the fun and excitement in going through the time, effort and mind numbing focus it takes to successfully complete such a regimen if you can’t go through it or, at least, share your experiences, with someone who’s genuinely interested in what you’re doing? During any given month, I communicate directly with people from around the world who want to know why it’s so hard to do the right thing to get on the trail to health and wellness. These are people with SERIOUS health issues, like rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosis, obesity... you get the picture. But, try as they may, they can’t seem to get in stride to get the job done. I know It’s hard to get healthy or lose weight when you try doing it alone or without support I recently spoke with an elderly client by telephone about this. She came to me in November of 2006 with type II Diabetes and high blood pressure. She told me that with nobody in her immediate household or in her neighborhood - in rural Georgia - who really understood and supported her health restorative efforts, it was very hard to follow any health and fitness program… no matter how sensible or easy it might be. This spunky gal had singlehandedly reversed her Diabetes and high blood pressure and dropped quite a bit of dangerous body weight within four months of being on my health and fitness and personalized nutrition protocol. Even with those three fantastic achievements under her belt – at age 74 – she constantly felt a need to communicate with someone periodically about what she was going through mentally, emotionally and physically… especially during the first month of being on the protocol. She must have called me every other day for the first few weeks, but for her it was worth it. Her frequent conversations with me helped to keep her on track and committed. She asked why I hadn’t opened up my home yet - as so many other biological Practitioners have done in Europe, Australia, Canada, Asia and to some extent in America - and invite people here to see what it really takes to make a 180 degree about face in their thinking and learn how to live and eat the right way… Nature’s way. Frankly, I didn’t have a good answer. But, you know, after I hung up the phone, that question she asked began to nag at me. I thought about it for quite some time and discussed the possibilities with my wife, Barbara. To my surprise, she’d been thinking along the same lines for a few years and thought it was certainly time to give it a spin. Barbara told me that had it not been for her constant communication with me about certain health and fitness protocols I periodically developed with her, for her use, she would have lost interest and abandoned what she was doing long ago – regardless of how helpful the health protocol may have been. Apparently it was my constant reassurance and gentle prodding that helped to keep her on course. She felt, as my client did, that it was time to share our home and some of our lifestyle with others who wanted to learn about proper care of the body with a personal touch. Well, with that swift kick in the pants we began setting up the house to accommodate a small handful of guests at a time.
What we can offer you at our home-based health and fitness retreat Having been trained and reared primarily in the Nature Cure methodology of Doctor Bernard Jensen and having firsthand knowledge of how the extended stay health program was run at his Hidden Valley Health Ranch and Sanitarium in Escondido, California, we decided to dispense with his busy, sometimes hectic, arrangement. Frankly, we feel we can offer you the best solution to reclaiming your good health and learning a healthy and happy way to live without having to succumb to the rigors of an inflexible, uncomfortable and often impersonal hourly routine. We do have a schedule of activities for you each day, however, you’ll find our routine to be flexible, comfortable and personalized. The biggest complaint about many health and fitness spas, retreats and health sanitariums is the lack of truly individualized care and attention guests receive. Another complaint is a lack of respect for or trust in facility Practitioners, due to their inaccessibility. There’s little chance for real bonding to take place, which is critical for a healthy and mutually trusting relationship between Practitioner and client. The services we offer are designed to offer you individualized care and intimate, trust building bonding with me, as the Practitioner monitoring your progress and activities. First day routine: During the first day of your stay - after you’re settled in – I’ll sit with you to get to know you and to tell you about our facility and services. Then Barbara and I will show you around the house and grounds so you’ll be familiar with the layout and know where everything is located for your convenience. If any other guests are staying with us at the time of your arrival, we’ll arrange for you to meet with them the first or second day – depending on their physical condition and availability. If you’re experiencing hunger, for the remainder of the day, we’ll serve you warm cups of flaxseed, dandelion or chamomile tea or perhaps some other appropriate tea, or even our alkaline vegetable broth, depending on your physical and mental condition, as a consequence of your commute to our home. We’ll get to the serious, but pleasant, business of the fasting or transitional diet protocol beginning the morning of your second day here. Barbara and I decided on a quiet, relaxed, intimate, home style atmosphere where guests in our home could communicate with me daily and where each guest could have full use of what we offer without having to “stand in line.” We’ve spent a lot of time thinking and planning along these lines and certainly hope you find our setup to be to your liking. Be forewarned that during your stay with us, you’ll experience rural, country life much as my wife and I do here in Southwest Colorado. We don’t offer a lot of five star hotel accommodations, but what we do offer should be of great interest to you if your ultimate goals are to: On the job training from day one Look, I know your time is valuable and I certainly don't intend to waste it on trial pursuits. Starting with the morning of your second day, you'll begin a pleasant and informative indoctrination into my particular biologically friendly, Nature Cure methodology. Some of the activities you'll be personally involved with are: 1. Begin cleansing your body the right way - remove drug residues, excess carbon dioxide, excess water, harmful bacteria, inorganic mineral deposits, excess systemic acids such as hydric and carbonic acid, hardened excreta, hardened mucous deposits, parasites, metals and other waste material. 2. Rest your entire body – this will allow for the replenishment of nerve force and efficient metabolic function. I’ll show you how to do this by rejuvenating and sustaining healthy activity within the cerebellum… your body’s battery. Without its proper function, you won’t have the juice to get your motor running in the morning. 3. Start rebuilding and replacing old worn out tissue – our Correction Through Replacement Therapy nutritional program will stimulate your body to replace old, worn out and diseased tissue with vibrantly healthy, new tissue. About our health and fitness retreat Our 3,800 square foot home-facility is located in a quiet, rural setting in the foothills of the La Plata range of the San Juan/Rocky Mountains. It sits on 35 rustic, spacious acres. It’s a two-story, modern house with an intimate home-style environment. From the second floor living room you can see some of the natural geology of New Mexico, Arizona and, of course, Colorado. Three distinct mountain ranges in three states are visible from the property. Local points of interest include the Colorado cities of Durango, Silverton, Cortez and the world-class ski resort town of Telluride. Many visitors to this beautiful area have enjoyed a pleasant day at Mesa Verde National Park - former home of the mysterious Anasazi Indians and their pueblo style dwellings. Another popular attraction is the Durango-to-Silverton Railroad. The air here is fresh and clean, there’s lots of sunshine and the scenery is breathtaking and unforgettable. I live my life according to the same advice I give to you – come see for yourself I firmly believe that the best way for you to get tangible results from any health and fitness or natural weight loss diet program is for the Practitioner to set a personal example for you to follow. My home life, general lifestyle, the way I eat and have my being are fitting testaments to my firm commitment to a natural way of living in harmony with all of Nature. The Daily Activities Schedule, which appears below, reflects our standard published routine. We make every reasonable effort to tailor and adapt the various elements of our entire program to meet the particular needs of each guest. For example: some guests may prefer not to undertake colon cleansing sessions during their stay. Although I personally recommend the need for guests to mechanically clean the colon at some point during the initial fasting period, this is a decision that is left up to each guest. We recommend moderate daily exercise, only for those guests who are physically capable, to ensure good circulation of blood and lymph during the fast or transitional diet. However, there are guests who prefer, or that I advise, to refrain from physical exercise during their stay. For such guests we often recommend massage therapy, hydrotherapy in our Jacuzzi tub, safe and simple stretching routines or in-bed exercises. Although exercise can be a beneficial component during your visit, it’s not at all necessary. We encourage you to partake of as many of our scheduled and unscheduled activities as you desire, according to your physical capability and level of interest. The Daily Activities Schedule, outlined below, ensures that you can derive enjoyment and a healthy outcome as a consequence of your visit with us. The following schedule reflects our daily therapeutic fasting or liquid diet routine. Depending on your health condition I may, instead, recommend a transitional elimination diet of predominantly raw fruit, fruit or vegetable juice, herbal tea, broth and tonic.
The amount of time I personally spend with you Although I can’t be with you continually throughout each day during your stay, under ordinary circumstances, I do my best to make myself available to you as best I can. I prefer to check in with you at least two or three times daily – early morning, afternoon and prior to your bedtime. My intent is to allow you as much freedom and privacy as possible while ensuring all is moving along as planned for you. In case you’re curious about how my days are usually structured, during any given day I’m consulting with local patients, readers of my publications, online clients with serious health issues, doing research for a writing or upcoming speaking project and I write extensively for any new book I’m working on and for my three health websites and a health blog on health-related matters of importance. Each morning and late afternoon I attend to and feed a rather large contingency of local wild birds, ground squirrels and chipmunks on our property – depending on the season and weather. During a spare hour, here and there, my primary mode of exercise generally involves some manner of work on the property. Specifically, Barbara and I attend to the trees and other vegetation, remove underbrush from walking trails, work in our vegetable and fruit garden, mow the front and backyards periodically, cut wood, fix or adjust the outer perimeter fence to the property that keeps larger animals out or we go for a walk to enjoy the natural scenery, fresh air and abundant sunshine. During your stay, and provided it isn’t too tiring for you, we welcome you to join us in any of our outdoor activities. Fees for services and accommodationsPayment of Fees: All fees are payable at least one week prior to your arrival. If you send a check for payment, the funds must clear your bank prior to your arrival. Please plan accordingly. Refund Policy:
There are no refunds after 12:01 a.m., the morning
of your arrival date. If you cancel your visit with, at least, an
eight-day notice, a service fee of $200.00 will be assessed. If
you paid by credit card, there will be a cancellation fee of 7%
to cover our costs. Silver Plan $1,300.00 for a seven-day visit per person. This will include all available services and shared bedroom, shared bathroom and seven days of fasting on a liquid diet or a combination liquid diet and transitional fruit diet during the seven days, at my discretion, depending on your circumstances. Gold Plan $2,300.00 for a fourteen-day visit per person. This will include all published services and shared bedroom, shared bathroom, fourteen days of fasting on a liquid diet or a combination of liquid diet and transitional fruit diet during the fourteen days, at my discretion, depending on your circumstances. offer a discounted rate for couples, which amounts to 20% off
the published rate for both. For example, a fourteen-day stay for both

you and I mutually feel that you should spend additional time at my
home-facility, beyond the longest published recommended visit of
twenty-one days, each additional week is charged at a rate of $1,000.00. Travel accommodations Flying: If you fly into the Durango airport we will arrange to transport you from the airport to our facility upon your arrival.
