Why are all of the modern alternative techniques and methodologies for good health care wrong?

Fragmentation is the problem. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying all of these marvelous alternative medicine and holistic techniques aren’t useful and often necessary. Every health discipline and modality has a time and place. But each must work as part of an entire systematic approach to primary and secondary health care.

As well-meaning as every alternative medicine, weight loss and anti-aging system may be, they’re all nothing more than fragmented pieces of a comprehensive whole being approach to lasting health and happiness.

After all, surely you know that the best food supplements in the world are useless if not taken along with your meals.

And it does little good to eat right if you don’t have good bodily hygiene, get plenty of rest, sunshine, exercise and fresh air, and so on.

Do you see what I’m getting at here? All of these wonderful things will do you little good unless you put them all together in a sensible package that is right for YOU!

Which should you really try to cure: disease or your THINKING?

A buck will get you ten that your thinking about health and fitness is wrong. Our Scientists, Biologists and Doctors are always chasing a cure. But there’s no cure for anything, anywhere to be found in our science labs or herb cabinets.

Only Nature can ‘cure’ disease! She’s the only power and presence capable of healing you from head to toe.

For example; let’s say you had a growth appear in your breast.  When Nature Cure therapy is applied, Nature will not simply target only the dysfunctional tissue in your breast in an effort to miraculously get rid of it - as would a drug or perhaps some vitamin therapy or other course of treatment.

What Nature will do is increase the overall efficiency of your entire body to ‘ABSORB’ all or part of the tumor.

The absorbed tissue is then either eliminated through one or more of your organs of elimination or it enters into the general economy of your various systems and is effectively marginalized by proper systemic function.

Having said that, my next statement may seem contradictory or misleading, but I assure you it’s neither of the two... Nature doesn’t care about curing anything!

She’s only concerned with proper biological function. There are no static conditions or isolated physiological occurrences for her to target and ‘cure.’ The word and concept of ‘cure’ are human creations.

Nature views every cell of the body as part of a cohesive, dynamically interactive whole that is always in motion and always under her watchful eye. There is no tissue cluster, no organ and no system that she ever, at any time, will specifically target for any particular type of cure.

Nature’s special way of healing is to restore proper function to your entire body – not to any one dysfunctional part. In doing so, any dysfunctional organs or systems will often be healed or, as the Doctors like to say; cured.

When, for example, an organ loses stride and becomes
impaired, Nature will quickly step in to try and alleviate that situation. She usually does this by calling on the other organs and systems of your body to do extra work while she does what she can to fix the dysfunctional organ.

But you must understand that she does not specifically target the affected organ for a curative process. Her goal, as ever, is to help you to keep your entire body running as smoothly as she can.

Being the ingrates that we often are, whenever Nature’s able to restore proper function to an organ, we proudly think it’s something we, or our fancy food supplements or herbs or some person did to get us well.

I can tell you from a lot of experience that Nature normally does her best healing work when your entire body can rest, fast, rejuvenate and rebuild – in that sequence.

Is there ANYTHING else besides Nature that can CURE disease?

What I just told you a few seconds ago bears repeating. This may come as an incredible shock to you but there is:

  • No drug
  • No food supplement
  • No herbal preparation
  • No special diets
  • No special treatments or therapies
  • No exercise programs
  • And no Doctor or other Health Practitioner

that can cure ANY disease. Absolutely nothing else but Nature can cure disease of any kind. The only thing any Doctor or other Practitioner can cure is a ham!

When you look for a cure from some miracle drug or herb, or when you seek the easy way out of the mess you’ve made of your body, you may soon find yourself going round and round on a seemingly endless Merry-go-round. The desired end of comprehensive, whole being health and happiness, is never quite in sight for you – only the endless trip round and round.

Nothing quite works to pull it all together for you. There are too many people out there touting some super pill or program and none of it quite hits home for you. Right?

One day you’re taking a new weight loss herbal preparation and the next your trying something new to get rid of wrinkles or rheumatic aches and pains.

Healing Crisis Versus a Disease Crisis

Many people who undergo a prolonged fast and who subsequently encounter Healing Crises often confuse them with Disease Crises due to the similarity of symptoms experienced during both events. Perhaps the best way to sum up the major difference between a Disease Crisis and a Healing Crisis is as follows: 
 

  • During a Disease Crisis the body usually has great difficulty expelling toxic waste. The accumulation of this morbid matter throughout the body leads from acute to subacute tissue inflammation. If the condition is left unchecked the subacute symptoms can deteriorate to a chronic or degenerative disorder.
     
  • During the disease reversal process, resulting in a Healing Crisis, the body experiences many of the same symptoms present during a Disease Crisis. The two exceptions are that the symptoms generally last no longer than a few days and all of the body’s channels of waste elimination work very hard to expel toxic waste - particularly fecal matter, urine and catarrh.

When the Healing Crisis has run its course, whatever unpleasant physiological, emotional and mental symptoms you may have experienced during that event will probably not come back to trouble you again during your life if you learn to care for your body properly.  On the other hand, a Disease Crisis, if left unchecked, will invariably deteriorate further along the path of physiological dysfunction and sickness.

The Healing Crisis is Nature’s way of cleaning house. She does it thoroughly and certainly better than any Doctor, drug, medical center or food supplements could ever do.

Hunza Health and Lifestyle – Sir Robert McCarrison MD

The thoughts of Doctor McCarrison, who, during his six year stay in Hunzaland, had ample opportunity to observe the Hunza way of life, including their dietary habits, may interest you:

·         Doctor McCarrison felt the Hunza way of life was unfragmented… it was a whole way of being, where every Hunzakut was made to feel part of something grand and wonderful. It was an honor to be born, raised and to live out your long productive years in Hunza Valley. This was foremost on his list of outstanding qualities of the Hunza.

·         He  never saw a Hunzakut who wouldn’t accept and take up the most difficult and strenuous labor without cheerfully smiling while the work was being done – regardless of how much time or effort were required.  A cheerful disposition was next on his list.

·         Everyone in Hunzaland had an altruistic attitude of service. They were always available when a Hunzakut or family needed outside help in any way. They lived to joyfully serve one another. And they shared what they had with one another.

·         The people of Hunzaland were patriotic and loyal to their leaders – the Mir of Hunzaland , his Queen and council. The Mir and his council heard all disputes that couldn’t be settled between two parties. They would decide the issue and the two parties would abide by the decision. The losing party could appeal once if new evidence warranted. However, that decision was then final. Everyone had a direct line of communication with the Mir. This way of governing worked well for the citizens of Hunzaland and kept their feelings of patriotism strong.

·         The Hunza were a settled people, who had no need to wander in search of food or shelter. They had long ago decided the nomadic life was not for them. They were able to eat healthy, whole foods grown the same way, in the same soil, year after year. This helped develop and pass on a good physical inheritance from parents to offspring.

·         In physical appearance and ability the average Hunzakut was of sturdy build, deep chested, muscular – particularly the legs  and shoulders – and large boned. During his stay, Doctor McCarrison couldn’t find one Hunzakut grossly overweight or frail and infirm. They were considered by neighboring tribes and by visitors from the far reaches of the globe to be the most agile and skillful mountain climbers in the world. Whenever the Hunza men engaged in warfare, they invariably won - after all, they were descendants of Alexander’s best fighting men. Their great strength, at work or play, was legendary.

·         The Hunza diet didn’t differ remarkably from what was being consumed by the average family in Doctor McCarrison’s beloved England. But this is where any similarity in dietary habits ends. The Hunza grew whole, organic foods in some of the richest, dark, composted soil on Earth. Most of the foods they consumed were eaten raw or cooked on low heat with as little water as possible. Not a drop of the water left in such a pot was wasted. They ate no fried foods, no vegetable oils, and drank raw goat or sheep milk in the colder months and clabbered or soured milk products in the Spring and Summer months.

Doctor McCarrison’s strongest impression of the Hunza was of awe that this race of people could have carved out such a heavenly way of life amidst some of the harshest conditions known on Earth. And they did this, uninterrupted, for two thousand years!

When Doctor McCarrison finally completed his charge in Hunzaland and returned to England, his observations about Hunza life and health were often met with jeers and disbelief. It seems that his most prominent detractors were many of his own medical colleagues.

Nevertheless, Doctor McCarrison’s work and writings have been influential in changing prevailing English and western thought on sensible dietary principles, meaningful lifestyle pursuits and productive longevity.

Personal Involvement and Belief in the
Healing Process is a Must

What usually takes a recovery effort south is an addict’s lack of personal responsibility in the process of rehabilitation. The addict will feel removed from the addiction, removed from the necessary level of personal responsibility required for the healing process – as if it he were watching his life on television. 

Take, for example, your average drug rehab program. I’ve talked with many drug addicts over the years who told me these programs served little purpose other than to meet other drug pushers or users – other contacts.  

As for the group discussions, these all too often turned into chest-baring shouting matches where addicts were usually made to feel inferior as a specie to other respectable citizens. Many addicts viewed these programs as places to go where they could hear the sad stories of other addicts worse off than they were. At least they could derive some small measure of comfort in that. 

Most, if not all, drug rehab centers offer little in the way of an honest effort to personally confront and overcome your problems that you alone created. When you look for others to solve your drug addiction problem there will always be someone there you can blame if something goes wrong - always something about the program that you can point a finger at as being the reason for you falling off the wagon… again. 

 With every meeting you attend you step further and further behind that big thick oak tree, hoping the world won’t be able to easily see you with all of your sad inadequacies. You can hide behind the shouting and reprimands of other addicts and your counselors. But, that’s all you can do there is hide.  

The moment you open yourself up to the kind of meaningful introspection and self-examination that would immediately help your circumstances, others in the group are quick to convince you that you are too weak to rely on your own judgment or your own ideas about what can work for you in your life.  

It’s thinking on your own that originally got you into the mess your in, they argue. Where do you get the nerve to think you could dig yourself out your hole on your own? 

I don’t know about you, but it was exactly that kind of thinking that completely robbed me of any sense of self worth and empowerment. How in the world was I ever supposed to get my ship out of port with that kind of feeble-mindedness blowing against my sails? 

You see, it’s as if they want you to conform to a system, someone else’s way of doing something - something that you have no control of. You are asked to reflect on their ideas about how you should have conducted your life. 

That approach never worked for me. I needed something more immediate, more concrete, something much more involved on a personal level. I took a chance and left that environment for the uncertain but much more friendly atmosphere of personal initiative. I took my own recovery effort in hand and I’ve never looked back. 

If you aren’t willing or able to commit to the kind of personal drive and effort required to kick your habit, there is no chance for you to permanently free yourself from your addictive monster. 

Your mindset must be fixed on absolutely and completely kicking your habit by yourself…not on mere possibilities or what a group or someone else may or may not be able to do for you.

Without a doubt, when it comes to kicking a bad drug habit, you either stop your addictive behavior - right now and by yourself - or you don’t.

The Slow but Steady Path to Disease

Most chronic and degenerative disorders, such as MS, Cancer or Arthritis, follow a certain path or stages of deterioration and degradation and a predictable path to recovery. Doctor Hering observed that when patients engaged in some manner of systemic waste removal and thorough tissue cleansing one of the first manifestations exhibited was a revisitation of the same symptoms formerly present when a patient had a specific ailment in the past.

Since the time of Doctor Hering many Practitioners have embraced and furthered his research in this area. Doctor Jensen developed a four-stage system of disease degradation and recovery that was quite successful with patients during 60 years of clinical practice. 

The four stages of disease as taught by Doctor Jensen are known as: 

Acute:   Inflammation, pain, sensitivity, fever, discharge, high acidity are usually present. Poor living and dietary habits can contribute to the buildup of catarrh and this can lead to the beginning of toxic settlements throughout the body. Using common respiratory complications as an example of how disease can progress through the four stages of increasing degeneration the following observations and assumptions can be made: 

  • Disease manifestations: Colds, coughing, bronchitis, influenza, allergies.
  • Traditional modes of suppression: Coal tar or sulfur based drugs, nostrums, and aspirin.
  • Necessary waste elimination: Loose catarrhal settlements in the lungs and sinuses.

Subacute:   Absorption of systemic toxins, dull aching pain, low metabolism, weakness, lassitude. Devitalized foods and beverages, poor living habits, polluted environment, all lead to general buildup of excessive accumulations of toxic matter throughout the body. 

  • Disease manifestations:  Sinus troubles, hay fever, toxic acidic discharges from skin, nose, eyes, mouth, genital area.
  • Traditional modes of suppression:  Nasal sprays, vapors, synthetic chemicals, drugs, aspirin, etc.
  • Necessary waste elimination:  Prolonged loose catarrhal elimination.

  • Necessary waste elimination:  Large accumulations of hardened catarrh throughout body and solid waste matter from colon.

Degenerative:  No perceptible sensations in affected tissue, extremely low blood circulation, low nerve force, tissue decay. General breakdown of life supporting activity in affected area and often throughout entire system. Vital force at low ebb. 

  • Disease manifestations: Malignancies, tumors, Cancer, Arthritis, gangrene, Emphysema, hardening of arteries.
  • Traditional modes of suppression:  Heavy drugs, chemotherapy, radiation, cortisone, gold injections.
  • Necessary waste elimination:  Thorough systemic cleansing of toxic accumulations from the entire body through skin, bowel, kidneys, lungs, eyes and mouth. We can determine from the above example that if we do not properly and effectively address disease in its infancy the long-term prognosis - the inevitable deterioration to a symptom complex such as hypertension - is not encouraging.
